They are based on the Definitive Technology Procinema system which is a line of compact satellite speakers, center channel speakers, and subwoofers that produces incredible sound at an affordable price.
Definitive Technologies over came the challenge of designing a sub-satilite system that engineers small satellites with a frequency response that extends low enough to blend properly with the subwoofer.
The Procinema series is the pride of Definitive Technologies in overcoming this challenge. It achieved this feat by engineering pressure-coupled medite passive radiators into the satellites and center channel speakers (the radiators are upward firing in the sats and side firing in the centers).

Unbelievable
I bought a pair of these to replace some Polk Audio surrounds, and all I can say is wow. I was totally blown away with the sound that these can reproduce clear and precise.

Powerful litte speakers, great buy
